Photographing kids may be a hard nut to crack not only for parents, but for a professional photographer as well. Newborn photography, which is photographing of little babies, is quite a different thing. And today I would like to present you some photos of newborn Barunka. When you plan to photograph your baby, keep in mind that the younger baby the better. The optimal time for newborn photography is about a 1 week after the baby is born, the maximum is 3 weeks old baby. Newborn babies usually sleep most of the time, it is easy to manipulate them to different poses, and they look so soft and tender. Moreover it is quite natural for such little cutties to sleep in those poses due to the fact that their body still remembers it from being in the mom’s belly. Woman in her new role of being a mom can be little stressed by the situation and how she will handle all the travelling to atelier, the unknown enviroment and/or few days after the childbirth the woman doesn’t have to feel as a model … but please, do not be afraid! The aim is to photograph your little baby and catch her/his natural and lovely look while being only a few days old and remember your new relation, which was just born so you have great memories for this time of your life.

Focení dětí bývá velmi často tvrdý oříšek nejen pro rodiče, ale i pro samotného fotografa. Focení “newborn” tedy miminek, které jsou na světě jen pár dní, je ale absolutně jiné téma. Dnes vám tedy představím pár fotografií právě narozené Barunky. Pokud plánujete focení vašeho miminka, v tomto směru platí, že čím mladší miminko je, tím lépe. Ideální doba pro newborn focení je koncem prvního týdne, ale maximálně do 3 týdnů od narození. Miminka jsou totiž v tomto období hodně spící, dá se s nimi krásně a bezpečně manipulovat, i když spinkají, a na fotografiích vypadají opravdu něžně. Navíc polohování není nikterak krkolomné, protože miminka jsou ještě stále schoulená a pamatují si polohu, kterou měli v bříšku u maminky. Novopečená maminka samozřejmě může být ve stresu, jak to všechno zvládne s takovým malým drobečkem – cesta do ateliéru, cizí prostředí, navíc po porodu si ne každá žena připadne jako bohyně krásy… ale nebojte se! Důležité je udělat fotografie s citem a zachytit tak první dny vašeho děťátka a vašeho nového vztahu, na které budete s láskou vzpomínat.

Photoshooting with Izabela in the atelier was really great experience! She is so natural and great looking model. Morover, Izabela was very open-minded while we talk about taking poses and changing a look in her face. But you know what is the most important thing while photoshooting a portrait? It’s the ability of the photographer to get as much as possible from his/her working tool – the camera. Even though the model, her/his attitude, the light etc. play a big role in the whole act, the photographer himself/herself must to his/her best to get perfect photos. I don’t say this in order to praise myself, for sure not! I am trying to give you a hint, while you try yourself taking such photos. Well, lets take a look at Izabela’s photos from the atelier on the way they turned out.

Byla to opravdu super zkušenost fotit Izabelu. Je to nádherná a zároveň velmi přirozeně vyhlížející modelka. O to lepší je potom práce, když je ještě navíc tak otevřená dalším nápadům např. v pózování a nebo změn výrazu tváře. Ale víte co je vlastně ta nejdůležitější věc, když fotíte s někým portrét? Jsou to zkušenosti a schopnosti fotografa, díky kterým pak musí dostat ze svého fotoaparátu to nejlepší. I když bude modelka dokonalá, světlo naprosto perfektní atd., tak právě v oblasti focení portrétů je to fotograf a jeho nástroje, které dělají tu konkrétní fotku výjimečnou. Neříkám to proto, abych tady chválil sám sebe, to rozhodně ne! Snažím se vám dát jen tip, pro ty, kteří zkouší takové fotky dělat. Teď se ale pojďme podívat na fotografie nádherné Izabely!

Whould you like to have photos of your family that will be cherished for years? Many of my clients, who plan to come for family photorgraphy, ask me for some tips, because they want their pictures to be perfect and in some way it is the client, who influences the final look. I can give you some hints so you are a bit prepared and know what to expect…
One of the common question is clothing. Remember that you must feel comfortable in whatever you choose to wear. Once  you have something that matches your personality and it is not too matchy with the rest of your family, you are on a good way to have great pictures. Moreover, it is always a good idea to have some clothes packed for changing. Just in case, becuase you never know what idea you get while photoshooting. And there is nothing worse than taking pictures while wearing something that you are not feeling good in anymore.
Another question is the accessories. In my atelier I have some things to borrow you, it is not a problem at all. Keep in mind that these accessories are used by other people too so they are not as original as you could prefer. My accessories are the one that can make you feel more comfortable if you do not know what to do with your hands and/or in what pose to stay. But if you have something that you love, something that is typical for your family, hobbies, and lifestyle, do not hesitate and bring it with you! For example the favourite toys of your kids, book that you love to read together, little snack that you fight for one over another…
Last but not least is the location, where the photografy is going to be taken. If you plan to take photos outside the atelier and there is a place you love, please, tell me about it. The idea is to make you feel like you are at your own backyard and the better you feel, the more confidence you get and confidence is something that can influence the photos a lot.
Well, these are just some of my tips that you can follow while getting ready for a photographing a family portrait. Of course that we will talk it over again together so you don’t miss anything. And what kind of inspiration would it be without real photos? Please, enjoy the family portrait of Klement, they were really great and you can also feel it from these pictures!

Chtěli byste mít fotografie vaší rodiny, které budete oprašovat a hýčkat po mnoho let? Mnoho mých klientů, kteří právě plánují přijít s rodinou na fotografování, se mě ptají, zda nemám nějaké užitečné tipy. Samozřejmě, chtějí mít fotky, na které budou hrdí a sami dobře víte, že z části ovlivňujete výsledek i vy sami. Mohu vám dát pár jednoduchých rad, které se osvědčili a určitě vám mohou pomoci…
Jedna z nejčastějších otázek se týká oblečení. Mějte se na paměti, že hlavní je cítit se pohodlně, ať už máte na sobě cokoliv. Je dobré zvolit něco, co odráží vaši osobnost a zároveň neladí až přespříliš s ostatními členy rodiny. Špatně neuděláte, když si s sebou na focení vezmete i něco na převlečení. Nikdy nevíte, co nás společně při focení napadne a není nic horšího, než se fotit v něčem, v čem už se nadále necítíte dobře.
Dalším častým dotazem, jsou doplňky pro focení. V ateliéru mám samozřejmě několik možných doplňků, které si můžete pro focení zapůjčit a díky kterým se vám bude třeba lépe pózovat. Ale pokud máte něco, co zbožňujete, něco, co je naprosto typické pro vaši rodinu, vaše společné zájmy a životní styl, neváhejte a vezměte si to s sebou! Například oblíbenou hračku vašich dětí, knížku, kterou si společně rádi čtete, nějakou dobrotu, o kterou se společně rádi perete…
V neposlední řadě je tu volba místa focení. Pokud plánujete focení mimo ateliér a máte místo, které jste si zamilovali, prosím, řekněte mi to. Naším společným cílem při pořizování rodinných fotografií je to, abyste se v tu chvíli cítili co nejuvolněněji, ideálně jako u vás doma. Čím lépe se cítíte, tím větší sebejistotu získáte a to je to, co zásadně ovlivňuje výsledek.
Tak a teď už máte alespoň nějakou představu o tom, jak se na naše společné focení připravit. Samozřejmě, že všechno ještě jednou společně projdeme ve chvíli, kdy si spolu budeme domlouvat termín, abyste na nic nezapomněli a bylo vše dle vašich představ. Ale co by to vše bylo bez konkrétních fotografií, dle kterých si můžete utvořit vlastní návrh? Vybral jsem pro vás pár rodinných fotografií rodiny Klementových. Doufám, že i vy z jejich fotek pocítíte tu úžasnou atmosféru stejně jako já při jejich focení!
