When I was photographing Lais & Valentin, we couldn’t skip the evening time. Of course not! London has its own magic not only during the day, but during the night lights as well. London goes alive altogether with a night life and city’s rush. And this is “the thing” that sets each photography into to the right mood, light it up and makes it easier to remember… But only if the main photographed people are in the same mood and if they can make you feel the atmosphere. Lais & Valentin really can do it and I believe that you will like their photos and that you will appreciate the magic as I do.

Když jsem fotografoval Lais & Valentina, nemohli jsme si nechat ujít večerní focení. Samozřejmě! Londýn má své nezaměnitelné kouzlo nejen ve dne, ale i za večerního světla. Tak jako ostatní velká města, Londýn ožívá a spolu s ním i noční život a ruch. A to je to, co umí každou fotografii správně naladit, rozsvítit, udělat snadněji zapamatovatelnou… Ale jen v případě, že hlavní aktéři na fotografii jsou také správně naladění a umí vás do toho nočního děje patřičně vtáhnout. Lais & Valentin takoví opravdu jsou a věřím, že jejich fotky se vám budou líbit jako mně a oceníte jejich kouzlo.

Photographing abroad is always a challange. I don’t want to say that I don’t enjoy photographing in the Czech Republic. But you know, it is for me “well-known playground”. You know what to expect from native people. You know the possibilites of taking photos in the countryside as well as in the center of the city. Furthermore, it is always easy to cooperate with people, who speak the same native language as you. On the other hand, if there is the possibility to photograph abroad and cooperate with people, who share your ideas and respect your job even though they are trully different apart of you, such job has its great magic. You have the chance to meet new people, experience new situations, visit new places and I have to say that I really enjoy it! As a matter of fact this is the reason why I want to share with you photography lovers this amazing couple – Lais & Valentin. They live in London, where the photographing took place too. I should point out that it was quite freezing weather on that day. I guess it was about 10°C. However both of them suprised me how persistent and willing they are. Lais & Valentin would do absolutely anything to have a perfect photo if I asked them. When I said to climb up the wall they have done it. If I have said to stand on their head, they would have done it too I believe. Their attitude towards photography and my job as a photographer was really great and I couldn’t have better couple for creating photography in London. As a reward they have trully wonderful photos and my admiraton as well. For me this was the best photography time in last 10 years!
 

Focení mimo ČR je vždy trochu jiná výzva. Ne snad, že bych si focení doma neužíval, ale přeci jen, pohybujete se na “domácí půdě”. Víte, jak reagují místní lidé. Co lze očekávat v přírodě, co ve městě. Navíc práce s lidmi, se kterými mluvíte rodným jazykem, je také jednodušší. Na druhou stranu focení v cizině a s lidmi, kteří jsou jiného naturelu než máte vy, má také své velké kouzlo. Máte možnost se seznámit se spoustou nových lidí, situací, míst a musím říci, že si to užívám! Proto vám chci ukázat focení jednoho nádherného páru a to Lais & Valentina. Žijí v Londýně, kde se i focení konalo. Nutno podotknout, že v den, kdy jsme fotili, byla velká zima. Snad jen 10°C. Ale oba mě překvapili svou neskutečnou houževnatostí a vůlí. Udělali by pro perfektní snímek snad vše, o co bych je požádal. Když jsem chtěl, aby vylezli na zeď, tak to udělali. Kdybych jim řekl, ať se postaví na hlavu, tak věřím, že by to s nadšením udělali též. Na jejich přístupu k focení a k práci fotografa je opravdu znát, že jsou schopni obětovat pro jedinečný záběr cokoliv. Odměnou jim jsou opravdu úžasné fotky a můj obdiv. Bylo to pro mě snad nejlepší focení za posledních 10 let!

From time to time people ask me if I know some beautifull, unusual and original jewelry, which would be a great supplement to their special occasion and/or just for a joy. Of course that I have some contacts since I do this job for several years. That’s why you can see this stunning jewelry that were photographed  for Sylvie Majerová, who makes it by herself. Model is Nicol Johanidesová. Jewelry should make you look very pretty and be in harmony with the one, who wears it. And these photographies are proof of it.
Sylvie Majerová is very talented woman. Due to her skills, talent and sensitive approach she can make really gorgeous things mainly with silver and precious stones, which somehow touch her. Čas od času se mě lidé ptají, zda nemám nějaký tip na krásné, neotřelé a nápadité šperky, které by byly vhodné pro zvláštní příležitost a/nebo i jen tak pro radost. Samozřejmě za dobu mého působení v oboru fotografie mám dost kontaktů právě i v této oblasti. Proto vám dnes ukážu, jak se fotily šperky pro Sylvii Majerovou, která vytváří umělecké skvosty. Modelkou pro toto focení byla Nicol Johanidesová. Šperky by měly podtrhovat a ladit s krásou ženy, nikol, která je nosí a to se v tomto případě určitě podařilo!
Sylvie Majerová je nadaná žena, která díky své zručnosti, talentu a citlivosti dokáže opravdu nádherná kouzla nejraději se stříbrem a drahými kameny, které ji nějak osloví, zaujmou. Have you ever been in London? No? Never mind. Scroll down a bit and you will see part of it… Let me introduce you Jacqueline. Jacqueline was born in Willesden London heritage Afro Caribbean. And we have just done some really nice pictures. You may say that everyone wants to take great pictures of her/himself in London and there are plenty of them. Yes, you are right. From my point of view I think that these photos are very clean, warm and unintentional. What do you think?

Byli jste někdy v Londýně? Ne? Nevadí. Srolujte trošku více dolů na stránku a pojďte se alespoň takto podívat… A dovolte, abych vás hned seznámil s Jacqueline. Jacqueline se sice narodila v části Londýna Willsden, ale její původní kořeny jsou afro-karibské. A tak jsem právě nafotili pár krásných fotek právě v Londýně. Můžete namítat, že každý má krásné fotky z Londýna a že jste jich už viděli dost. Pravda. Ale z mého pohledu si myslím, že tyto fotografie jsou velmi čisté, hřejivé a neokoukané. A co myslíte vy?

About a month ago I published a little Sneak Peek about the wedding of Tracy and Stephen. This wonderful couple from Hong Kong planned their pre-wedding and also wedding route in non-traditional way. They love Europe and so they have decided to have their engagement photoshooting in London. Moreover they have experienced their pre-wedding photoshooting at three different places. What is more the place for the wedding of their dreams was in Prague. Prague is a magical place for Tracy and Stephen as they say. They are stunned by the historical buildings and so many red roofs. So it was a honor for me to be their wedding photographer! And what their wedding day looked like?
They planned two wedding ceremonies there. One at the Old Town Hall and right after this one there was another one at the St. Nicholas Church. The photoshooting was all day long. We started at 9 am and did not finished it before 4 pm. What is more we have done some night photoshooting too. Tracy and Stephen did not have any special demands. They said that is all in my hands and they trust to what I do and the way I do it. This made me a little bit nervous once in a while. But it was a great cooperation. I have to say that I admire how persistend and humble they are. On top of it they have a huge respect for each other and for people around them.

Je to přibližně měsíc zpět, kdy jsem zde publikoval tzv. Sneak Peek o svatbě Tracy a Stephena. Tento úžasný pár z Hong Kongu pojal své předsvatební, ale i svatební putování opravdu netradičně. Milují Evropu, a tak se rozhodli, že zásnuby stráví v Londýně, předsvatební focení měli na dalších třech místech mimo Evropu, ale svatbu chtěli mít v Praze. Praha má pro Tracy s Stephena obrovské kouzlo a přitahuje svou magickou silou, jak říkají. Jsou uneseni z těch historických budov a červených střech. Bylo mi tedy velikou ctí, že si pro svůj svatební den vybrali právě mě! A jak to probíhalo?
Pro svůj svatební den si vybrali hned dva obřady. Jeden na Staroměstské radnici a druhý hned poté v kostele sv. Mikuláše. Focení probíhalo od 9 hod. až do 16 hod. Samozřejmě ale nesmělo chybět ani večerní focení. Neměli na mě žádné zvláštní požadavky. Celé to nechali čistě na mě, až jsem z toho byl chvilkami i trošku nervózní. Ale naprosto věřili v to, co dělám a jak a byla to opravdu úžasná spolupráce. Musím říci, že jsou neskutečně houževnatí a pokorní. Navíc mají velkou úctu jeden k druhému, ale i k lidem okolo.

It’s time to go and say “I do”.

Even though there were no wedding guests, the wedding itself had wonderful atmosphere thanks to the chosen places.

Which route to choose?

This view is something that Tracy & Stephen really love and a reason why they chose Prague for their wedding.

They love each other, they support each other, and last but not least they have a huge respect for each other.

The day is almost gone but their new roles in their common life have just begun.
